How Our Cash for Bitcoin Service Works

To start the process, our Office Manager will assist the onboarding process, help setup a wallet if needed, and will answer any questions you may have.

Once you’re onboarded, you will be all set to transact.

If you are buying bitcoin, once the payment is received, the transaction will be locked in with a volume based transaction fee, and the bitcoin will be sent straight to your wallet.

We accept cash and wire transfers, (limits apply, see legal page).

If you are selling bitcoin, we will lock in the transaction upon receiving the bitcoins, and send a wire transfer to your bank account.

Our staff will be excited to help you through the process and answer any questions. Please contact us here.

To transact with us, we will need to collect some personal info as required by KYC/AML compliance procedures (see our privacy policy to understand how we use your information).

Bitcoin History

Bitcoin began in 2009 with what is known as the Satoshi whitepaper. It describes the blockchain process on which most cryptocurrencies rely.

Though a little techy, the whitepaper is still worth a read for anyone new to Bitcoin. You can download it here.

The first known transaction with Bitcoin was made in May 2010 when one crypto-enthusiast agreed to order a pizza for another enthusiast for 10,000 Bitcoins which were worth about $30 at the time.

Those coins are worth about $100,000,000 today. Mt Gox, opened in 2013, was the first Bitcoin exchange. The first Bitcoin ATM opened in Vancouver, Canada in 2013.

More detailed information about Bitcoin and its history is available in our Education Center.
